Son of God and Son of Man

Jesus is the only way anyone can enter God's heavenly Kingdom. In Jesus, God has brought humanity back to himself. Because of his self sacrifice on the cross, we have access to God's grace, freely given to us for the sake of Jesus Christ.

Jesus died on the cross for our sins, he was without sin himself. He is God's one and only sacrifice for the sin of the world, his life and service on behalf of the human race were the perfect substitute for God's holy wrath against sin.  Jesus is the ultimate hero because he conquered sin and death by his work on the cross, because of the Resurrection we know that the Father accepted his work and that we will rise again on the last day.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and has all the attributes that God has. Jesus is almighty, omnipresent, and all knowing. Before he became man, he created the universe, along with the Father and the Spirit. As God, he has the authority to forgive sins, and he will judge the living and the dead on the last day.

Jesus is also the Son of man, he has all the attributes of humanity, except for sin. Jesus grew up under the authority of his parents, had a human soul just like you and me, ate drank and slept, preached and healed. Through faith in what Jesus has done on our behalf, we gain new life, and death no longer has its sting; we all know that we will be raised on the last day, to be with God for ever.
